Have you been longing for peace, quiet, fresh air, privacy, and, of course, the authentic beauty of Finland? The Keloniemi lake house and sauna house, built from rare Siberian larch, offer all of that and more! The lake house is located just a 10-minute drive from the center of Evijärvi, where all necessary amenities (shops, etc.) are available, right on the shores of Lake Evijärvi with its sandy beach.
Your own private sandy beach ensures no disturbances, a place where children can play in the water, and the breathtaking lake view (especially at sunrise) will leave you speechless. There are no immediate neighbors, only peaceful silence – the perfect setting that, combined with modern comforts, gives this complex its unique charm!
The complex includes a main house with at least four separate bedrooms (a total of six beds) and a separate sauna house, which also features a sleeping area. Naturally, there’s a proper Finnish sauna, with just a few steps leading straight into the lake at any time of year. Both buildings have underfloor heating, complementing the warmth and cozy atmosphere provided by the fireplaces (in both the main house and the sauna house) in these ancient timber structures.
In the summer, primarily enjoy your sandy beach by the lake, where you can swim, relax on the large sun terrace, play football, disc golf, darts, or jump on the trampoline. The complex has a rowing boat with an electric motor, fishing equipment, and life jackets. The area of Lake Evijärvi is 28 km², and there are a total of 132 islands.
In the fall, the endless forests are filled with a variety of edible mushrooms and different berries, most commonly as blueberries, lingonberries, and cloudberries.
In the winter, you can drill holes in the ice to fish and enjoy a snowy winter fairytale in the quiet of the forest. Plus, of course, a large ice hole for jumping into the crisp lake water straight from the sauna! In winter, a 15 km cross-country skiing trail is made on the lake, just 500 meters from the villa!
In the spring, enjoy the awakening of nature and the blossoming of flowers and leaves – an endless wonder and beauty of nature!
But above all, you can enjoy endless peace and tranquility, jump straight into the lake from the sauna, and disconnect from the pace of the city!
